Last of May and April cakes of 2012

Hello Kitty cake, this cake was at least 2 1/2 feet tall in length... the face was made out of the Wilton cake pan and the body was just cut out free hand using a full sheet cake pan. I put them both close as much as I could, iced it and covered it all in one piece of fondant. then decorated the rest with colored fondant to make the dress, bow and all other designs.
Brobee and Plex birthday cake. One of my favorites, It's not my original design but I had so much fun replicating this cake. I use a 6' and 8' round cakes, the top tier was carved to that rounder shape and then used a grass tip for the icing using two different green shades and the rest was decorated with fondant. Plex was covered and decorated in fondant... very easy cake to make!
 Hello Kitty Nerd cake :)
Little Mermaid cake was made out of a 6' and 8' round cake. It was covered in fondant and all the sea shells are made out of fondant using a sea shell fondant plastic molds. The Mermaid was a plastic doll that the mother requested. It was a very simple cake but I thought it turned out great :)

Peacock Baby Shower Theme Cake

This is a cake that was requested by a client that wanted a peacock theme baby shower cake. This is a two tier square cake 6' and 10', the sides of the cake are edible images cut out to fit sides. I added satin ribbon for the boarders and added real peacock feathers I found at Hobby Lobby. I topped it off with an edible baby I made from my baby silicone mold. I just loved how the colors and the whole cake turned out!

Celtics Cheesecakes

Hi everyone! I hope all of you had a great weekend, I know I did!

This weekend was very busy for me, I made a few cakes and for the first time cheesecakes!

A Good friend of mine had a party for her husband's 30th birthday. She Loves my cakes! but her husband is not much of a cake lover so she requested that I make him cheesecakes for his birthday instead!

Im gonna be completly honest, I have never done cheesecakes before. I told her I would do them if she really wanted me to. She also wanted me decorate them with his favorite Basketball  team! The Celtics! So I did a 6' and a 8' round cheesecakes. I must say they turned out soooo good! I think im gonna add them to my menu of other sweet treats!

They are not hard to make, just time consuming. They have to cook and cool for a long time. But all said and done, he loved them and they tasted good. And that makes me a happy baker :D
